General Information
Mount Rigi is one of Switzerland’s most favorite excursion destinations.The panoramic view over the entire Swiss Middle land through to Germany and France from the peak is truly breathtaking. Since 1871, Europe’s first ever mountain railway takes visitors to the Rigi. The railways from Vitznau and Goldau and the aerial cablecar from Weggis provide an eventful journey.

A restaurant in the air
On summer nights, the cabin of the aerial cablecar from Weggis to Kaltbad turns into a restaurant suspended in the air. A dinner with magnificent panoramic views and a romantic sunset will enchant you. The entrée is served during the ascent; the main course, dessert and a complimentary Rigi brandy on the descent.
Train ride to the Rigi sunrise
From June to September you may enjoy every Sunday a cable car ride from Goldau with the magnificent sunrise at the Rigi, accompanied by the sound of the Alphorn. On Rigi Staffel a delicious breakfast expects you.
