Brasserie Gourmand Esprit Ravet

Truly sensational: Starting June 2020, the Bernerhof introduces a little brasserie called “Esprit Ravet”! The Ravet family of Vufflens-le-Château is probably the best-known gourmet family of Switzerland.
For more than 20 years, awarded with 19 Gault Millau points, they confer the spirit of the family upon the Bernerhof. Guy Ravet, son of Bernard and Ruth Ravet, reports: „I am excited about cooking brasserie cuisine. The recipes and the wines of the family are what I want to bring to Gstaad. The entire family is looking forward to opening the “Esprit Ravet” in Gstaad.
nHotelier Brigitte Frei is proud that the Bernerhof could win over the Ravet family for this partnership: “We are thrilled by the passion of the family. They are always looking for new, even better products. Moreover, our guests will be served straightforward dishes prepared with the best ingredients. Recipes formulated by Guy Ravet for the Gault Millau channel can be found on our menu.” Thomas Frei adds, “Not to be forgotten are the fantastic Ravet wines of the Morges region, considering that the daughter Nathalie is known as one of the best sommeliers of Switzerland.” We ask for your understanding that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Raclette, Fondue and Regional Swiss Classics. The rustic restaurant «La Gare» directly next to the train station of Gstaad offers space for an unhurried breakfast, a cup of coffee and a newspaper or a glass of beer in the evening - as well as simply great Swiss cooking throughout the day.

At the La Gare, we use exclusively Swiss products or products from our region. We know our suppliers personally. Thus we can proudly offer «Bernerhof Quality» at the La Gare.

Lounge: THE LOUNGE. The place to be

Our new restaurant «Esprit Ravet» links with an elegant lobby for snacks of all Bernerhof kitchens, aperitifs, or nightcaps. Hereby we can fulfill a long-cherished wish of many regular guests.
The Bernerhof counts by traditions on local materials. A natural stone of the Alps covers the floor. Walls and ceilings are suited with a combination of both old and new fir from the local forests. The architecture should not be simply rustic, but natural and genuine. The furniture is contemporary with a touch of flamboyance.
The separations between the restaurant and lobby, partly glass-filled and partly closed, are constructed with raw iron, as strong as nature. Thanks to fine lighting accents, both parts glow in warmth. The fireplace stands in the middle and silently tells the long-standing history of the Bernerhof.
